Freudenfest is held annually during the third weekend of July in Oldenburg, Indiana as a celebration of the German heritage in our region and to allow people to see the quality of people and spirit in this small midwest community.

This festival originated in 1977 and has become one of the premier German festivals in the Cincinnati Tri-State area, drawing thousands of people into Oldenburg during the weekend event. Live German music, food, contests, shows, games, and the finest imported German beer on tap make this event a huge success !
