We are excited to announce that this years’ 48th Freudenfest will take place Friday-Saturday July 17-18, 2026.

We are seeking businesses and corporate sponsors who are interested in promoting their company and showing their support for our rural community. We are known as the “biggest little German festival in Indiana” where we see people from all over the country joining together to celebrate the unique spirit and rich heritage of Oldenburg.  By becoming a sponsor, you will be prominently recognized as a vital partner in preserving Oldenburg’s charm while being showcased at an event well attended by thousands and whose festival news is followed on social media all over the country.

The festival is more than just an event; it is a reflection of the heart and soul of our town. We are dedicated to preserving our traditions and creating lasting memories. This 2-day event is complete with authentic German music, food and beer, while also providing a variety of family fun activities.

Friday is our coveted Burgermeister Proclamation where we will honor our sponsors and have the official keg tapping to open the fest. Prost!  Join us on Saturday for a day full of fun beginning with a breakfast provided by the Boy Scouts, a walk, run or bike ride through our beautiful countryside, pick your favorite to win the Dachshund Dog Race, join The Chicken Dance and so much more. You won’t want to miss out on the food, especially our “locally world-famous” sauerkraut balls.
